Making gingerbread people was on the agenda tonight. The boys each cut out a classic gingerbread man as well as some ninjas, angels, candy canes and other shapes. Unfortunately, Cam’s gingerbread man didn’t survive the baking process. The limbs crumbled apart when we picked it up so I gave him my gingerbread Santa which he gladly took over. As for me, I was more than happy to completely bypass the decorating process and popped the broken pieces in my mouth, as is.

Ha! But the joke’s on me. After closer inspection of the decorated GB men, it seems that only half of smarties and sprinkles actually landed on them. I suspect that the other half went straight into little boys’ mouths.

Like mother, like sons.
